First hand, advice will be the best for you. It gives you a clear picture about the reputation of the bathroom-remodelling contractor. Pass on your ideas, and see, if the contractor agrees with you. He may come up with some more ideas, which you may appreciate. If you see the difference that the contractor may bring into your bathroom, you can certainly go ahead, and make a final move.

Ask for quote. You will now be in a better position to understand the change in designs that he intends to bring in your bathroom. If you find the quote fair enough, you may sign him up for the job, and hope that the chosen bathroom-remodelling contractor does according to your expectations.

Garden Pest Control

Posted by | Uncategorized | Posted on February 14th, 2011

Controlling pests have been a major issue since man started growing crops. They can destroy crops, cause diseases and are a real menace wherever found. For these reasons, people have been trying to use every form of poison, repellants and organic substances to control pest growth and kill them. However, no one can keep pests away from one’s garden or homes permanently. So you must keep in mind few techniques while working on garden pest control.

The natural approach to getting rid of pests is known as Integrated Pest Management. It is defined by the EPA as “…the coordinated use of pest and environmental information with available pest control methods to prevent unacceptable levels of pest damage by the most economical means and with the least possible hazard to people, property, and the environment.” The instructions provided by the IPM are useful for any gardener and any person who wants solutions to pest control. Especially in vegetable gardens, IPM methods are very effective. It was however initially introduced only for those involved in commercial farming.

Certain features of garden pest control would include weed and weevil control, slug control, mole control etc. Weeds are parasites living on your precious crops and growing healthily while your crops continue to weaken. Make use of natural weed killers that prevent growth of such weeds. Of 24 possible species of the slug, at least 12 of them are found in gardens which destroy all the delicate plants, their leaves, stems, roots and tubers. Maintaining hygiene and not growing plants too close to each other would help prevent growth and inhabitation of slugs. Earthworms attract moles but you cannot kill the useful earthworms to keep moles at bay. It is a little tricky. Trapping or fumigation is two of the few techniques you could employ to get rid of moles.
